AUTOBIOGRAPHY

We all have dreams, we all have things we wished we had done, if only we had got round to it. Well! Fortunately, I’ve been able to tick off one of mine. Painting in oils, inspired with a degree of nostalgia allows me to look back at my childhood with adult eyes and follow my own visionary path with my paintings.

I also enjoy the challenge of capturing the textures and colours of the Forest of Dean & Wye Valley landscape and the spectacular, breathtaking coastline of Cornwall.

My paintings of the cultural and industrial heritage enables me to retain and not forget where I was born, growing up in a working class mining community through the war and the following years.
